Femtosecond laser should not be standard of care, surgeon says

What does, "the frequency of transient light sensitivity, although improved, is still a drawback," mean?

I still have a bit of light sensitivity after LASIK that was done 3 months ago, and I was wondering if this is what my light sensitivity is.

Intralase has been associated with transient (temporary) light sensitivity (TLS). Some articles indicate that recent changes to the laser energy have reduced the incidence of TLS.

So what that means is this -- The frequent occurence of TLS after Intralase-LASIK is a drawback when compared to regular (blade) LASIK, even though it's not as frequent as it used to be.
